THE SCRAPS

Here goes nothing!  Over at Ellison Lane Quilts,  Jennifer issued a challenge for us to use up those scrap bits by making monochromatic log cabin blocks.  I haven't made many log cabins, but the idea of random piecing really appealed to me, so I jumped in. Last night I made my first 3 blocks and I think I'm hooked.

Other works in progress include  hexagon #38

Nearly finished a baby quilt

On Monday we had Thanksgiving dinner. This is before the demolition...

Technically the turkey is still a work in progress  : )

linking up with Lee at Freshly Pieced for W.I.P. Wednesday.

With the green tape, your orange scrap block looks like a pumpkin. Cute blocks.

I was going to say exactly what Cheryl said! They look like a colourful row of pumpkins. :) But seriously, they're adorable. I wish I had enough scraps of various colours to do something like that too.

Oh, I like your scrappy log cabin blocks. That's a great idea for doing something beautiful with scraps. I like your hexagon. I've fallen in love with all the unusual hexagons in the hexathon. Thanks for helping me hook-up with hexathons!

Carla your monochromatic log cabins are really lovely. How many are you going to make of them, enough for a quilt?

Love your hexie too.

Ok just so we are clear: your ability to get a gagillion things done in a short amount of time makes me look like I am standing still! How do you fit in the laundry, work, groceries and all the rest of it? P.S.: Love your log cabins!

The log cabins are sweet! I was thinking about trying it also but I have way too many projects in the works. So I just pined it for a future project.
